Mandatory Entry-Level Training: Class 1

Beginning March 1, 2019, all drivers wanting to obtain their Class 1 licence must complete the M.E.L.T Course.

Class 1:MELT Components

• Classroom                                    40.5 hours
• In-Yard (around the vehicle)         15.5 hours
• In-Cab (behind the wheel)            57.0 hours

Airbrakes:

• Classroom                                    6.5 hours
• In-Yard (around the vehicle)         2.0 hours
